What is Granite?

Granite is known to be Earth's oldest building material. It is an igneous rock that is formed from liquid magma. Granite has a crystalline structure that proves to be very striking and very noticeable. It differs in the following characteristics: color, texture, and crystalline structure. It has three important common minerals which are: 50% or more Feldspar, 25-40% Quartz and 3-10% Mica.
